"Crossings: Bridge Building In West Virginia" premiered on March 27th at the West Virginia Cultural Center to an engaged audience of approximately 140 viewers. The program is scheduled to air on West Virginia Public Television in April. Digital Vision Works and JTB Productions are proud to announce the winning of the 2005 Davey Award for "The Captives".
This docu-drama chronicles the adventures of Mary Ingles and her escape from her Native American captors.
Other awards Digital Vision Works and JTB Productions have won for "The Captives" are the
2005 Videographer Award of Excellence and the 2005 DV Accolade Award of Excellence. The editing process of "Crossings:
Bridge Building In West Virginia" began this month. This documentary produced for the West Virginia
Department of Transportation takes a look at the history of building bridges in West Virginia from the
obstacles the early settlers faced through the technological advances going into today's modern bridges.

Out
of numerous companies nominated from across the state of West Virginia,
only 22 were selected to be finalists. The West Virginia program is part of an international program that includes 47 domestic regions and 31 international regions.
MARCH 2001 - Around our office we like to say, The proof is in the product. Lately, that rings true with Digital Vision Works winning 5 national awards in the past month. In March, Digital Vision Works won a Bronze Telly Award for West Virginia Microbusiness Not Business As Usual. This was a 30-minute documentary about the history and state of microbusinesses in the mountain state. The program was produced for the Center For Economic Options of Charleston, West Virginia. This month, Digital Vision Works was honored to have won 4 accolades in the 2000 Videographer Awards. Awards of Excellence were given for a commercial spot about diabetes awareness produced for the West Virginia Medical Institute and a commercial spot for City National Bank (take a look at that spot in our gallery). An Award of Merit was given for a commercial spot for the campaign for Justice Robin Davis reelection campaign (take a look at that spot in our gallery) and an Award of Distinction was given for the documentary for the Center for Economic Options documentary, making it 2 awards for that program. Digital Vision Works hopes to claim more awards in the future for upcoming projects. Some of which include a series of admission videos and television spots for a Huntington, WV based hospital and a series of television commercials for a furniture gallery in Princeton, WV. |
